I have been looking for a used VW New Beetle TDI automatic for quite some time. When I saw the 2003 VW Beetle TDI online at South Centre VW in Calgary, I was hesitant at first as I am from Surrey, BC  and  I wondered what shape car was in and how I would get it to Surrey.  After emailing and speaking with Rob Ward, I was thrown off by how helpful, genuine and interested he was in assisting me!!!

He took extra steps such as taking extra photos, a detailed video and even sent me a pic of the undercarriage.  Definitely something that goes well beyond what I expected from someone in a dealership in a different province!  He even ensured the back brakes and timing belt were replaced. The technicians, Nam and Mike were the ones who made sure the car was in tip top shape. I felt like I was able to see the car as if I was there because of the video!

I ended up deciding on the vehicle, by that point everything was set, I booked my flight knowing with ease the car was in great shape.

When I landed in Calgary, I was surprised at how efficient everything went. I was picked up by Rob at the airport and was driven to the dealership.  The car was exactly as I saw it online from Rob’s video and pictures! Justin, Rob and Darren ensured my paperwork was processed efficiently.  Rob was very thoughtful and filled up my tank with diesel for my trip across BC! From there I was off to my trip back home across BC in one day!

Driving across BC in one day with my new Beetle was so exciting and filled with such great memories of the scenic and surreal route. I made a stop in Banff for an hour. It was so nice to have Rob even check in via text to see how my drive was going!!  By then I was in Salmon Arm.   From there I kept on driving to Surrey, BC. I was just so full of energy from driving in my Beetle I didn’t even feel tired and I felt totally safe driving knowing the techs did a great job. I went across BC with a full tank and didn’t have to fill up once. I did however fill it up with a little bit of diesel to be safe however realized when I got home I didn’t need to! TDI is the way to go!!!!

After getting home I decided to share my random pics of my drive across BC with Rob.

Overall my experience with this particular dealership was nothing short of fantastic. The energy within this dealership is that of happy employees and for that it truly shows in their service and demeanor in dealing with the public.

I have had experiences with other dealers and this is the only one that actually treated me no different than if I was to buy a new vehicle. They were patient, genuine and went well beyond what I expected. I would totally recommend this shop to everyone out there!

Thank you SouthCentre VW in making my car shopping experience so stress free and full of good energy!!!!

Hi: My life partner owns a ’09 Rabbit & she just loves its feeling of security & never having to worry about it letting her down. Oftentimes, I take it in for servicing & Im always very impressed by how genuine & informative your service & sales people are.
Your service dept. always meet their service timings & your whole facility is always very clean & professional. I personally am “car crazy” & have many rides to spoil myself but, truly LOVE driving her RABBIT …. feels like it’s on rails. Thank-you all for your fine service.

Sonia, thank you for sharing your positive experience and story!
Rob is just that kind of a guy, in an age of “me me me” he is truly a young man of outstanding character!

I hope you enjoy your Beetle for many years to come
